In 1955, Duncan McMillan opened a small furniture, upholstery and carpet shop in Saddell Street, Campbeltown.

A few years later as the business grew Duncan relocated to 80/82 Longrow which remains the main premises to the this day.

On his retiral the running of the business was taken over by his son and daughter - although it has to be said not without considerable input still from the founder!

Today furniture and carpets remain the core area of the company but Willie and Fiona have diversified into several other lines.

Duncan McMillan  now boasts a large nursery department - being the only 'Mamas and Papas' main stockist in the whole of Argyll and Bute.  Duncan McMillan also stocks many well know quality brand names from the world of carpets, furniture and house ware - e.g. Cintique, Gainsborough Sofas and Sofa Beds, Kingstown, Ryalux, WM Lomas, Ulster, Sunway Blinds, Denby, Christy Towels, Le Creuset to name a few and feature a wide display of waxed pine and ethnic furniture.

We also offer a full fitting service on carpets and vinyls and will not hesitate to travel as far a field as Mid Argyll.

As in 1955 Duncan McMillan still prides itself in being a good quality family run business with the emphasis on customer satisfaction.
